What is Coconut Coir?

Coconut coir is a natural fiber derived from the extraction of lignin from the coconut husk .These fibers are environmentally friendly and have high durability and durability. The unique technology used to extract the fiber is called the ‘drum method’.  The traditional coir fiber extraction method, the coconut husk is soaked in water for about 10 months. Although the quality of the fibers obtained by this method is high, it takes more time . When immersed in water, the husks undergo anaerobic fermentation, which softens them . After that, the husks are washed and subjected to a fibrous process . Although various mechanical techniques have been used to shorten the soaking time required for coconut husks, the fibers thus produced are less robust . The fibers thus produced can be divided into three categories. Also, these fibers can be divided into brown and white fibers depending on the nature of the fiber obtained.

The fibers thus produced can be divided into three categories . Also, these fibers can be divided into brown and white fibers depending on the nature of the fiber obtained . White fibers come from pre-ripe coconuts, which are more flexible and less strong . Brown coir is made from well-ripened coconut and has a high degree of strength.

                            1. Brown fibers.
                            2. White fibers
                            3. Bristle fiber

These coir Bale made by compressing the fibers obtained in different ways into different sizes.
